13 New Real LIFE Centers in 2019

Real LIFE desires to help more students finish their education in every part of the Philippines. We believe that each scholar we support represents one family whose story is being rewritten with hope.

This is the reason why we always make it our goal to open more Real LIFE centers in every region. Our team is thankful and excited to announce that we will be opening thirteen new centers this year in the following locations!

  • Baler, Aurora

  • Meycauayan, Bulacan

  • Plaridel, Bulacan

  • Davao, Davao del Sur

  • Cauayan, Isabela

  • Sta. Rosa, Laguna

  • Greenhills, Metro Manila

  • Cagayan De Oro, Misamis Oriental

  • Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya

  • Alaminos, Pangasinan

  • Dagupan, Pangasinan

  • Mangaldan, Pangasinan

  • Olongapo, Zambales

Last November 21–22, we held a training for the staff of these upcoming centers to prepare them for the work ahead.

Our scholarship supervisors, Marilyn Lalunio and Riz Figueroa, discussed processes and standards for scouting for applicants, doing the screening process, and monitoring the performance of each scholar.

We had case studies and activities designed to equip the participants for possible scenarios that they will encounter in their local centers.

We also had role playing activities for panel screening and home visitations, wherein staff from the Real LIFE Office portrayed applicants of different backgrounds and personalities. This gave the participants an idea of what they may experience during the screening process and how they should respond in such situations.

Our finance team, Arra Dagñalan and Joshua Joaquin, taught the incoming admin coordinators the finance process and policies.

The Metro Manila Hub Coordinator, Jod Gonzales, and Regional Coordinator for Mindanao, Melinda Saquin, shared with the incoming character development coordinators their experiences and some key ideas in teaching scholars how to depend on God as they face personal problems.

Pastor Manny Muleta, Pastor Anthony Ong, and Pastor King Lucero, who are also coordinators in their local Real LIFE centers, shared their best practices to those who will oversee the operations in their local centers.

Real LIFE board member and treasurer, Ms. Crickette Abello, also shared how we do fund raising and partner relations.

Here are the teams of the 13 incoming Real LIFE local centers.

We are grateful to God for the privilege of serving our youth this way and for the growth He has given us. Thank you to all our partners for helping make the work we do possible.
