The Team Who Brings Our Mission to Life
The Real LIFE National Office houses the functions of the Executive Director and its three (3) units or teams: Scholarship; Shared Services; and Finance. It manages and monitors the overall operations for all programs, events, initiatives, and activities of Real LIFE.
Scholarship
The scholarship team is considered the program unit of the organization. It is in charge of Real LIFE Scholarship’s policy development and program implementation. It is responsible for the evaluation and approval of all scholarship applications. It oversees the operations of all Real LIFE local centers and monitors the progress of Real LIFE scholars nationwide. It also provides assistance and training opportunities to the local centers. It is led by the Program Manager and includes the Scholarship Officers and Scholarship Coordinators.
Shared Services
The shared services team deals with all matters pertaining to the foundation’s projects, partnerships, communications, events, compliance, and systems. All staff report directly to the Executive Director. The Educational Partnerships Officer and Compliance Officer roles are currently delegated as secondary roles (to a Scholarship Coordinator and Finance Assistant, respectively) given the nature and demand for its function.
Finance
The finance team manages the daily financial operations of the foundation and closely coordinates with the Real LIFE local centers to provide financial oversight and administrative assistance. They manage the disbursement of funds, checking of liquidations, and purchase of office supplies and equipment. They also provide finance-related administrative support to the Executive Director, Scholarship, and PCECS. The Finance Officer supervises all funds relating to the events, fundraising, and programs of the foundation, supported by the Finance Assistants.
