Cheating Was Easy But Bernard Took the Harder, Better Path

When Bernard Pasicolan became class secretary for three semesters, he took on both responsibility and temptation. Managing class records tested his integrity more than once.

Some classmates pressured him to change their low grades. He refused.

“I never changed my scores even when they were low,” Bernard shares. “I don’t like taking advantage of others. I would rather keep my low scores than gain high grades through dishonesty. Grades are just numbers. It is my character that matters.”

His honesty did not go unnoticed. In 2019, he received the Integrity Award at the North and Central Luzon Graduation Banquet. The honor recognized his commitment to doing what is right, even when no one was watching.
